Sticker Shock, what’s that?

Over the course of my many years doing hair, I’ve learned that it’s always best to be transparent and up front about what your hair will cost you.

Nothing is worse than not being sure what that number will look like when you’re checking out, especially when it’s more than you anticipated.

Keep in mind that I can only give accurate pricing during a thorough consultation, once we know what services you’ll be getting, and I can see your hair in person.

My base pricing is listed on my website for you to check out before scheduling an appointment. With the exception of yearly price increases, your services will only be higher if we’re using more product and/or more time is needed.

Honest communication will always be best no matter what! Feel free to ask any questions prior to having services done so we’re both on the same page!

I’m so excited I can hardly wait.

Everything has been coming together so well in the space!

Plus, Business Cards are in, Furniture is starting to be delivered, Color & Product Orders on standby, lots of Paperwork ready to be submitted to the State Board, it’s only a matter of time before I can see you for the best Summer Hair!

If you are trying to grow you hair more full and long, make sure you are keeping up with your haircuts regularly.

My recommendation, if you’re doing all of the right things to take care of your hair (I’ll explain more in detail later) would be to get a “ghost trim” every six to eight weeks.

Between styling, blowdrying, hot water, winter dryness or summer heat and many other factors, it is important to keep your ends healthy!

If you aren’t cutting you hair because you think your hair will grow longer faster, you’re sadly mistaken.

Naturally, our hair splits on the ends. In order to avoid our hair from splitting further up the hair shaft, the ONLY way to truly amend this is to cut the split ends off. Otherwise, your hair will become fragile, eventually breaking off, which is what causes the thin and straggly looking ends.

There are some incredible products on the market that will help to avoid split ends as much as possible, but unless you’re consistent with your haircuts, it is bound to happen.

Even though our hair grows from the root/scalp, cutting the ends enables our hair to continue to grow in strong, long and healthy.

Think of it this way, the hair on your ends is the oldest and more beat up and needs a little TLC. Especially if you are coloring, highlighting or using hot tools.

It is also very important to do your research when you’re looking for a reputable hairstylist to make sure you are getting exactly what you want. Make sure you are showing your stylist a couple of inspiration photos and speaking in depth about what length you’re comfortable at.

Why I love Kevin Murphy…

In a world where everything is toxic and bad for your health, Kevin Murphy sets themselves apart as a brand. Not only does Kevin Murphy combine scientific knowledge with the best natural ingredients sourced from all over the world, but they are conscience about the environment. They create products that don’t harm our environment by utilizing packaging that is recyclable or biodegradable. They use only sulphate free surfactants that effectively cleanse and remove surface oil and dirt, without stripping or depleting the hair of its color.
