REPAIR ME

RESTORATIVE & STRENGTHENING 🍍

I just unlocked my NEW FAVORITE @kevin.murphy product combo!

I would argue that my hair is in fairly healthy condition, with the exception of minimal split ends. IYKYK I always try everything before I recommend product…

SO, with that being said, for someone with fine/medium dense hair who doesn’t wash daily, my new go-to is: #repairme Wash & Rinse. Then, for my BLOWOUT, I use a mousse and @brazilianblowout Serum & Acai Ionic Spray from my mids to ends!

My hair has never felt more soft and looked as shiny. I love the smell, and it’s day 2, and I’m not oily or greasy at all. I’m case that happens, I have #freshhair spray in my arsenal to correct that until the next wash day!

WHY DOES MY HAIR BECOME GREASY QUICKLY!?

Why does my hair look greasy so fast?

If you’re air-drying instead of blow drying, although it does protect the hair and scalp from heat, it can cause issues if you do this frequently. Long-term air-drying, similar to overwashing, can cause the scalp to overproduce oil, making the hair even more greasy, and forcing you to use more and more shampoo to combat the imbalance.

Instead, try doing a blowdry with a mousse, like @kevinmurphyhair#heateddefense or the #everbounce spray! They’re weightless options to get a bouncy Blowout at home, without getting oily too fast. To prevent an oily root, I love the #freshhair spray on day one of a blowout. Using this dry shampoo before the oil starts is my favorite way to extend the time until your next wash even more.

OILY HAIR TIPS

Oily Hair Tips 💙

Stress, hormones, genetics & over washing are just a few reasons you may have an oily scalp + ‘greasy’ hair.

How to resolve these issues?

Make sure to maintain a balanced diet, wash your pillow cases and towels regularly, clean your styling tools & brush/combs.

Incorporate a clarifying/detox shampoo as your first wash. I recommend at least 2 washes. This will help remove products, oils, and other build up. Try not to wash your hair every day.

Rinse thoroughly, and be sure to only apply conditioner from the mids to ends!

Heat protectant is important too, just focus away from your roots/scalp if you’re using anything oil based.
